Not all dark-coloured latex beasts are dark latexes. According to the game lore, only those with a "crystal" are counted as dark latexes, so it is best to assume that most latex species apart from the select few identified specifically in game with darker colour palettes and crystals are light latexes.
Puro is normally a dark latex wolf, but occasionally he is species swapped.
